Our Apartment
in Brindisi, Italy

We had finished up our time
in Lecce,
a famous
ancient walled city and it was time to move on to our next destination.
Taking the
comfortable
and modern train we arrived at our apartment about 2 in the afternoon. We
chose this apartment for several reasons, and one of them was the nearness of
the train station. This made it easy to get in and to get out to our next
destination.
This was a 2-bedroom,
1-bath apartment with breakfast included.

Downstairs living room
As you can see here, the apartment is
spacious.
The table came with 4 chairs, but we moved
them around to make walking easier.
Breakfast was included, and you can see in
the corner a red espresso machine and various granolas, breads and cookies in
the basket underneath it. Yogurt and fresh water were in the refrigerator.
Tap water is drinkable in the EU, so having
bottled water delivered or buying it from the grocery was unnecessary.
This was a big convenience.

Living room, different angle
The front door is on the right and the stairs
go up to the two bedrooms.
The bathroom is through the kitchen which is
on the left.
We had a large flat-screen TV as well.

Kitchen
The kitchen was equipped with a 4 burner gas
stove, oven, hot water maker, pots, pans, silverware, plates and cups.
There was also dish soap and paper towels.
We were given instructions on which day to
set the trash out as well.

Kitchen looking towards living room
We enjoyed our kitchen, although having more
counter space would have been convenient.
The refrigerator was large. The cutlery was
in the drawers, dishes were above the sink and various bowls, pots and pans were
next to the oven.
Sometimes previous renters would leave olive
oil or salt, pepper or other spices to use as well.
We were given espresso pods for the red
espresso machine.
What a treat!

Laundry room
It was quite convenient to have a washing
machine.
The first time we stayed here in the spring,
we didn't know how to use it and had some trouble. But the second time we rented
the place in the fall, the owner came by and showed us personally how it worked.
You might think this was easy, but in our
experience, washers in Europe are different than those in the States and if you
press the wrong buttons, you'll have a flooding mess! Not only that, but the
button labels weren't in Italian so we couldn't read them to figure out what we
were doing.
To dry the clothes you hang them on the small
rack you see here on the right.
Hand wash is done in the tub at the back.

Bathroom
We had hot water in all sinks and in the
shower.
A hair dryer was provided also, and plenty of
towels and shower mats.

Bathroom
This is the toilet and the bidet.
The rack above the bidet is a warmed drying
rack to dry your towels or miscellaneous pieces of laundry.
Of course, toilet tissue was supplied as
well.

Second bedroom
This is the second bedroom. The window goes
to the laundry room below.
The mattress was firm.

Second bedroom
Here is the view from the second bedroom
towards the Master Bedroom.
You can see the heater on the wall in the
center of the photo, as well as the clothes closet.
Night stands are on both sides of the bed,
and there is a sitting stool at the right of the photo.

Master Bedroom
This is the Master Bedroom.
It has a split air conditioner/heater on the
wall, a firm bed, a large screen TV, and 2 places to put clothing.
The stairs leading to the first floor are on
the right, and the handrail in the center of the photo looks to the down stairs
window for air circulation.
For the apartment being on the street, we
found the neighborhood to be quiet for sleeping.

Master Bedroom
Here is another view of the Master Bedroom.
There are two night stands, one on each side
of the bed. On the
right hand side you can see to the downstairs window.
Second bedroom entrance is on the left.

Master Bedroom
One more view!
Plenty of hangers on the clothing rod on the
right.
A sitting cushion on the left.
The owners of the apartment were very
responsive. If we had a question or problem, we simply WhatsApp'd them and
received service right away.
The apartment was walking distance to
downtown, services, restaurants, cafes and grocery stores.
Would we recommend this apartment to rent in
Brindisi?
Absolutely!
_______
The first time we rented this apartment we
went through Booking.com and paid $95 Euros per night plus $5Euros city tax per
person per night.
The second time, we simply contacted the
owners directly and paid $60 Euros per night and no city tax.
You can contact the owners directly at
+39. 347. 743. 4689 They are also on What'sApp for messaging.
