There is never a shortage of
places
to eat in Paris.
Our hotel
is located in the Latin Quarter, which is a great location for restaurants, bars
and cafes with reasonable pricing.
While gallivanting around seeing the
Eiffel
Tower, the
Pantheon,
the Arc de
Triomphe and the
Louvre,
we stopped by this trattoria to have a brew.
Seats in the November afternoon sun
Since it was November when we were in Paris
this time, the days were windy, chilly and sometimes even rainy.
Spotting an outdoor seat in the sun was a
great find.
SoHo unique menu
If you look closely at this menu, you will
see some unique Entrees with intriguing ingredients for SoHo's customers.
Burrata is something that is mentioned often.
It's a luxurious and creamy Italian cheese that originated in the Puglia
region of southern Italy.
Made from cow's milk, there is a solid outer
layer of
Mozzarella that encases a soft, creamy
interior of stracciatella and cream, giving it a unique, soft texture. It is
best eaten within 48 hours of purchase for optimal freshness and flavor.
You will also see
the Périgord black truffle on the menu. The French have contributed greatly to the research and development of Truffle
cultivation, which is called Trufficulture.
Delel, our waitress
This beautiful young woman is Delel who is from Tunisia, Africa.
She is 19 years old, and already in her young life she has lived in Italy, Sicily,
and now Paris.
She speaks French, Italian and some English.
While she told us about how she wanted to be
a model and make lots of money, she was no fool.
To be on her own at such a young age far from
home, I wondered about her personal story.
A couple of beers in the afternoon sun
Here we are at our table in the sun with a
couple of cold craft beers.
Notice all the parked motorcycles across the
street on the left.
Motorcycle touring is very popular in Europe.
Our bill
Our Peroni craft beers were $9.90 Euros each
and our bill came to $19.80 Euros or about $21USD.

Here you see the ever present elegant
Haussmannian architecture.
These characteristic
Haussmannian
buildings are part of what distinctly unifies and beautifies Paris. They are
efficient and generally have courtyards in the center to provide natural light
and ventilation to the inner parts of the building.
No matter where you sit in
Paris
for a meal, a coffee or a
beer,
the scenery and people-watching are alluring.
Paris is a seductive city and is a favorite
to countless people all over the world.
