Diego's
Pizza
Whatever it is, tequila
probably can't fix it, but it's worth a shot! - Jimmy Buffett
Billy and Akaisha Kaderli
Wandering around
Atotonilco El Alto
in the Mexican Highlands for a few days,
we found this little family-run pizzeria.
Located by the Plaza in
this clean town, Diego's had an upstairs view which was attractive.

The front of Diego's Pizza
As you can see,
Atotonilco is pretty
clean. The sidewalks are in repair, there are wrought iron street lamps, and
planted trees line the street.
Diego's is the brick building with the
stairs leading in.
Flowers are in the balconies on the
second floor.

Diego's advertise that they offer, pizza,
calzones, spaghetti, sandwiches, hamburgers, French fries, salads, and a
cheese fondue among other things.

Inside Diego's
Another spacious and clean establishment,
Diego's kitchen is in the back, and the bar is to the right in the photo.
The balconies are behind us.

The menu
Diego's offers pizza in sizes running
from "little" to "jumbo."
A little personal pizza
is under $3USD and the most expensive jumbo runs $11USD.
Sandwiches are $1.50 to $3USD.

Another menu from Diego's
Salads, Calzones, spaghetti, and more!
Beers are about $1.20 to $1.50USD each.

Akaisha at Diego's
Billy and I shared a small pizza and had
a couple of beverages. We couldn't finish the pizza, so took some home for
the next
morning's meal.
After this, we were off to explore the
town.
Our goal was to get to
Siete Leguas
distillery, the whole reason for this trip to the Mexican Highlands to begin
with!
