The French have an artist's manner in the presentation of their foods, whether it is in a bakery, a cheese shop or even a butchery.

This boucherie offers a range of prepared dishes, convenient for customers to take home and heat.

Specializing in roasted poultry products like chicken, turkey, and duck, they also sell organ meats like tripe, liver, and kidneys. And - as you will see below - there are some seafood options as well.

How in the world could a butchery be elegantly arranged?

Let us show you!

Storefront of the boucherie

This boucherie has an attractive storefront with large windows showing the passersby what is inside.

In a good business move, they have put their phone number on the awning so people can easily call them to place an order.

Roasted chicken and pork under glass

In this photo you see on the left some cooked pork ribs and on the right some roasted free range chickens. More chickens are on the rotisserie in the back.

The roasted chickens are about $10USD per pound, and the ribs are about $12USD per pound.

For some reason (my lack of skill in French doesn't help) this chicken is a bit cheaper per kilo, about $7USD per pound.

There is also some cooked lumber jack sausage at $14USD a pound.

Traditional butcher shops in France often provide more than just raw meat, catering to busy lifestyles with ready-made options to take home.

Stuffed Grapefruit salads

These are hollowed out grapefruit halves filled with a seafood salad.

There are thinly sliced cucumbers around the edge, seafood inside and red currant berries to give some color.

Quiches, cold tatins at Boucherie Parisienne Debray in Paris, France

Seafood options with breads and quiches in the back

There's a lot to notice in this photo.

In the back are some triangles filled with a meat like a turnover.

Then you'll find a classic French puff pastry which has meat and cheese inside.

Tatin de Reblochon is a tart with a rich, creamy cheese from the Alps. Maybe this quiche has onions, potatoes, or other savory elements inside as well.

And then - yum yum - a classic quiche with smoked salmon.

In the front are clear containers with seafood salads and some aspic dishes.

One could easily come here and spend a paycheck on the many attractive selections that are offered.

Where would I start?

Would we recommend going to Boucherie Parisienne Debray?

Of course!
