Shares His Feelings with You

Friends, Family and Supporters,
We are truly making the best of a challenging
situation. Once the initial shock of the speed of decline, and test results
with supporting evidence passed, we now are all about quality of life, pain
management, and comfort in the remaining time we have together.
There are no words I can write or sugarcoat
my emotions as we both are going through this transition together. It’s very
complicated with numerous issues. Our days are blurred as if we are in some kind
of time warp, very strange for sure.
Fortunately, we have tremendous support
from you, for which we are forever humbled, and also from our neighbors here in
Mexico. Seems the taco telegraph is very much aware of our plight and strangers
are coming up to me on the street offering aid in any way they can. This helps
me get through the hours when my emotions are uncontrollable.
Our landlord and his wife went through this
years ago, and he has been very understanding, although the rent still needs to
be paid. Ha, ha.
Besides our normal weekly maid,
we now have
a helper that comes six days a week, two hours in the morning doing light
cleaning, breakfast prep and most importantly, assisting Akaisha with her basic
needs as well as checking weight changes, blood pressure and massaging her legs
to prevent blood clotting.
I am doing my best cooking healthy, tasty
gourmet meals which helps to ground me and she is still my biggest fan.
Please be certain that we read all of your
beautiful notes, which sustains us emotionally, as well as laughing, joking and
sipping fine tequila.
This has been one hell of a ride and we are
not done YET!
All of our love,
Billy and Akaisha
