Are You Seeing Windows or Walls?
Billy and Akaisha Kaderli

In your life are you seeing windows or
walls? They are both there
All of us have struggles
in life. Be it financial, health issues, family challenges, or something in
our career; we all have stuff. Whether you succeed and move towards
fulfillment and success or close down and become stagnant out of fear is
your choice. The difference is how you approach these obstacles in your
life.
We can feel sorry for
ourselves, wallow in misery and trudge along. Or we can see windows where
there are walls and seize on the opportunities that are awaiting each of us.
And those opportunities can be anything at all, from a new home or a
relationship to a new job such as
Primerica careers, for example.
Remember, there is always
a solution. I like to say that we have to keep turning over rocks to find
the answer. Sometimes only a few rocks will give you what you need, and at
other times you have to look under many, many rocks. But there is a
solution; you just have to find it.
The easy path is to play
the victim card and constantly be consoled by your peers. You can talk
yourself right out of the power you have and the choices available to you.
The more productive response is to move forward, and be open to new
challenges no matter how uncomfortable you may feel.
It is up to you on how
you approach these issues.
A personal example
I have been discriminated
against while applying for a job because of my skin color even though I was
at the top of the list based on merit. This could have scarred me for life
had I not let it roll off my back and “showed them” what they could have had
in hiring me.
Instead of feeling
victimized, I turned on my heel and headed for greener pastures. And here I
am today with three decades of
financial freedom.
There are many ways to
live your life. You get to choose how you want to proceed. Do not
let others define you. That is a never ending, ever widening trap.
Have confidence in
yourself and your decision-making skills. When you come to the “Y in the
road” take it. You can always make a course correction, but stalling at the
intersection is not an option.
There is no rewind in
life. Yesterday is gone. What path do you want for your future?
Are we living the life YOU want? Is this idea appealing? Are you looking for
more than just your 9-5 job and two weeks’ vacation? Would you like a life
that is simpler, less hectic? If the thought of large blocks of free time to
fill as you choose brings a smile to your face or pulling out maps of the
world stirs a wanderlust in you, then
