On our trip up to the Mexican Highlands area to pursue the tasting of some
of the best tequilas in the world, our first stop was
Atotonilco El Alto.
It was here that we had
plans to visit the legendary
Siete Leguas distillery, but first, we had to
find a hotel room.

Hotel de Cervantes Espinosa
Not far from
the Plaza we found Hotel de Cevantes. Even though we arrived on a Tuesday, the hotel seemed to be
booked. However, Norma at the desk leafed through her reservation book and
found us a lovely room on the second floor.
It would only be available for a few
nights, which was perfect.

Stairs at Hotel de Cervantes
Beautiful stone, slate and wrought iron
steps led upstairs to our room.

The hallway down to our room
To the left here, is an open style
sun-roofed area to add some light. You can see another sunroof to the right
further down the hallway.
The hotel was clean and quiet.

Our hotel room
We are paying 690Pesos per night for this
large room, a little over $36USD. The table and chairs were right by a
window that led out to the sunroof area, so there was natural light in our
room.
You can see the armoire and there was a
dresser stand and mirror to the right of the bed, outside the photo.
Plenty of room to place our clothing!

Our bathroom
Our bathroom had a marble sink, a hair
dryer on the wall, and lots of hot water in the shower.
Soap, shampoo and cream rinse were on a
little wooden stand by the sink.

Another view of our room
This is a view of our room from the
bathroom door.
The dresser stand and mirror is shown
here, and in the mirror, you can see our table, bottles of water, and the
curtains over the sun lighted window.
The beds were firm, service downstairs
was good, and the location was great.
