We have traveled a lot through Mexico, but we had never been to Torreon in the state of Cuahuila.

Billy purchased round-trip tickets on Volaris Airline for $180 USD each, so the hour flight was affordable.

We got up at 5:30 am to take a taxi from Chapala to Guadalajara Airport which was 450Pesos (about $23USD). Our plane boarded about 9:20 and we arrived in Torreon around 11am.

The taxi from the airport in Torreon to our hotel was 232Pesos (about $12USD).

Arriving at our hotel, we had to wait to check in, but our room was clean and comfortable.

We were hungry so we decided to find a place to eat while the room was being readied. The concierge at the desk recommended Martin's Restaurant, just around the corner.

Since it was a Sunday, many places were closed.

Our price of 750Pesos a night (about $38USD) included breakfast.

This was a great deal, as breakfast at Martin's Restaurant would be about 200Pesos a person (about $10USD), making the price of our room about $18USD.

Fortunately our room was very quiet and beds were firm.

Our complimentary breakfast included coffee, bottled water, pastry and cookies, yogurt, orange juice, toast with jam and butter, and a fresh fruit selection. Not only did this option save us money on going out, but also the time it would take to locate a restaurant and sit down to eat.

Our room included a desk, TV and an armoire to put our clothes.

Maid service was daily and staff were friendly.

The shower had plenty of hot water, and on the wall was a hairdryer - always nice when one travels.

Overall, our hotel was a good choice, with a fair price and a decent location.

We would recommend it!
