Once again, I want to thank
each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart for the incredible
outpouring of condolences, kind words, and loving support. Your messages have
meant more to me than I can possibly express. I hope to reply to all of them
personally, but it’s going to take me some time. Please know that I have read
every single one, often through tears, and I am deeply touched by your love and
compassion.
To the many friends,
acquaintances, and even kind strangers here in Chapala who have wrapped me in
hugs and held me up during these difficult days — I am truly honored and
grateful to be part of this caring community. Your physical presence and warm
embraces have been a lifeline when I needed it most.
In my efforts to honor
Akaisha’s wishes, I will soon be taking some of her ashes to our favorite beach.
I desperately need some vitamin Sea and the healing sound of the waves where we
shared so many happy memories. This will be my first real trip as I begin the
long journey of healing and learning to live in a world without her by my side.
Meanwhile, I wanted to share
a song we wrote together that captures the spirit of our lifestyle and

Thank you again for walking
beside us through decades of financial independence, wild adventures, laughter,
