We enjoyed
Casco Viejo so
much that we went back several times to visit and being only a $3USD taxi ride from our
hotel, it was easy.
Even though the UNESCO Old
Town isn't that big, it seemed we were able to see different shops, restaurants,
grocery stores, cafes and Colonial buildings on each trip.
Super Gourmet
On this visit we chose a
different coffee house to have our cappuccinos; Super Gourmet. It
was a hip and happening place and was crowded inside. We were lucky
to get a seat.
Not only did it offer excellent
and creative coffee drinks, it was also a juice bar, deli, wine bar
and mini restaurant.
This table was not
vacant for long!
Super Gourmet offered a
variety of wines and the famous Gesha coffee that certain brands have sold for
up to $170 a pound, unroasted in years past. There were miscellaneous
salsas, locally grown honey, high quality jams, incredibly tempting fresh juice
combinations, and breakfast, sandwich, salad and special plate menus.

Super Gourmet has been a
landmark in Casco Viejo for seven years. You can select gourmet products from
around the world and purchase freshly prepared deli foods for all budgets.
Our cappuccinos
Since we planned on having lunch at
Tantalo, we only
ordered cappuccinos here and they were delicious.
Super Gourmet is a
favorite hang out among locals

Everyone so intense on figuring out something on the phone. Of course there is
free WiFi and one can choose from a selection of beers and wines, not just
coffees. Breakfast is served all day.

This deli is also the location of the
Caribbean Chocolate Company and they offer desserts, organic cacao and chocolate
as well as coconut oils and liquors.
Soups, salads and great deals on daily
specials.
A really fun place to visit, if you are ever
in Casco Viejo, look it up!
