In
Panajachel I heard
from several friends about
an Italian restaurant in San Pedro that was highly recommended. Everyone made a
big deal about it, so I thought I should check it out.

So on my recent trip to
San Pedro La
Laguna I made it a point to eat there. Pequenos Pacados is the name
and it's on the main drag in San Pedro next to the health food store.
A peek inside. Notice the hand painted
mural on the left.
A small, manageable restaurant, they have
survived the many ups and downs of the business in this tourist town. There are
a total of twenty chairs, so it is very quaint.

A table with a view
Pequenos Pecados has a relaxed atmosphere and
the lake is just beyond
the building across the street. You can sit here and people watch as you eat
your delicious meal.
A yummy pizza!
My friend ordered an individual Margarita pizza for 44Queztales,
about $5.50USD. Doesn't it look great?

My Saltimbocca
I was pleased with my 70Q
(about $8.75USD)
Saltimbocca. It was very well prepared and had good flavor.
Saltimbocca is Italian for
"jumps in the mouth" and is a very popular dish in southern Switzerland, Italy,
Spain and Greece. Made of veal, it is topped with prosciutto ham and sage.
With a couple of glasses of red wine, my meal was complete and the tab was 110Q
(about $14USD).

Cafe Pequenos
Pecados serves various preparations of fish, pork, beef and pasta.
This was a great meal in
a lovely setting for a very reasonable price.
