LOLA
Rooftop Tapas and Bar
Tepatitlan, Mexico
Billy and Akaisha Kaderli
In our travels throughout
Mexico, we
have been enjoying the various
rooftop restaurants and bars each city might offer.
Tepatitlan (also known as "Tepa") was no
exception. We
made several happy hour and dinner stops at LOLA's. It's a place you might
also enjoy. Take
a look!

Entrance to LOLA's through Hotel
Estancia Real
In order to get to the 4th floor to find
LOLA Rooftop, one must enter through Hotel Estancia Real.
The reception desk to the hotel is on the
right, and the elevator is on the left.
We found out one evening, after a
particularly dramatic rainfall, that the elevator didn't work. The stairs
were on the right before the reception desk and up the 4 floors we went!
It was great exercise and got the heart
beating.

A very happening place
LOLA opens at 6pm every evening. By
7:30pm the place is packed with the beautiful people of the city of Tepa.
We mentioned before that the town is
known for its beautiful women, and we want to confirm this. Gorgeous women
of every age dressed to the nines came to LOLA every time we were
there.
Beautiful, shapely, FUN, friendly,
fashionable ladies.
Everyone seemed so happy and willing to
smile and converse.
There didn't seem to be any snippy
attitude or fear of speaking to strangers.
Refreshing.

Panoramic view from LOLA
We had various weather
when we visited Tepa, and this night was a spectacular display of cloud art against cerulean
blue skies.

One section of LOLA seating
We usually arrived at LOLA early so we
could grab a great seat.
Of course, every table had a fabulous
view, so it was never a hardship.

Our waiter serving up Caesar Salad
One evening the four of us went to LOLA
and ordered several appetizers to share.
This night, the Caesar Salad was the
first course.

Salami wrapped cheese sticks with
green olives and bread
This was a delicious appetizer also,
served on a cutting board with various sauces on the side. The bread was
fresh and chewy, like sourdough, and it was tasty dipped into the sauces.

Pear and gorgonzola salad
This was a delicious Pear salad with
honey mustard vinaigrette. The nuts were candied to give a great crunchy
contrast.
Well done, for just $6USD.

Baguette with Pastrami and cheese
Billy ordered a baguette with Pastrami
and cheese and it really hit the spot. Served with gherkin pickles - which
is unusual for Mexico - I guess you could call our dinner a real
international specialty. This sandwich ran about $4.50USD, and the beer was
$1.50USD.
Pacifico, first brewed in 1900 when three
Germans opened the brewery, the Cerveceria del Pacífico in
Mazatlan,
completes the meal.

Our bill for 4 people
Four people enjoyed their simple meals,
with a couple of brews for $9USD per person, plus tip.
What a great view, delicious food,
wonderful drinks, and super service!
Don't miss LOLA Tapas and Bar when you
visit Tepa!
