We have eaten at Argentine and Uruguayan grills before and have been quite impressed with the quality of the food, flavor of the entrees and the service of the waitstaff.

When Billy found this Argentine Steak House and Lobster Grill a few blocks from his hotel in Puerto Escondido, he made plans to go there for a special lunch.

Since this restaurant was only a few blocks from his hotel, it made for a convenient place to enjoy lunch.

Murals on the wall of Argentinos

This mural depicts people dancing the Tango. The deep roots of this dance lie in African slavery, and is a mixture of dances peculiar to Blacks in Haiti, Cuba and Argentina. It originated in the ghetto of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Tango is very popular internationally.

The menu at Argentinos

The top item on this menu is a mixed grill. At approximately $63USD, it features Rib eye, New York, Filet Mignon, short ribs, flank steak, and chicken. At 42 ounces of meat, it serves 3 easily.

At 350 grams (that's over 12 ounces) of prime quality beef, the price for this plate was just under $10USD.

Rib Eye steak, vegetables and puree of potato

This plate looks delicious also and Billy's Rib Eye was 350 grams as well.

This dish was just under $25USD.

The bill for two people

The bill for two people before tip came to about $48USD. It included 3 glasses of  wine and a coke.
