Hostal La Casa
Verde
Santa Ana, El Salvador
Owner Carlos Batarse
Price: $25 night for a
double

Very clean, well
organized hostal
This Hostal La Casa Verde had everything,
including a pool, massage chairs, and a roof top terrace for a relaxing sunset view.

Could it get any better than this?
This sparkling pool had
Jacuzzi jets. Hammocks are hung all throughout the property.

The owner relaxing a bit
Carlos is the owner
of the Casa Verde Hostal and he will be sure your every need is attended to.
I found this hostal to be one of the best equipped and had the cleanest
kitchen I have seen in years. Notice the flat screen TV above him.

Hanging out in the cool
pool
World travelers
gather to cool down in the pool and it's like a meeting of the United
Nations. The girls on the left are from Holland, the guy is El
Salvadorian, the girl on the right is Spanish and we are
from the USA. People of all ages stay here at the hostal, it's not just for the young.

Roof top view of Santa
Ana
Our hostal had a
roof top terrace and it was used as a "chill out place." This was a
great place to watch the sunset.

This room was $25 a night
Each bed had its own individual fan, and
there were well built storage shelves on which to place one's gear. Fluffy white
towels were waiting for each guest, and there was maid
service daily. Ensuite bathrooms had hot water.

Well stocked kitchen
This kitchen was immaculate
and fully equipped. There were gas ranges, recycle bins,
and spices provided too. In the refrigerators you simply put your name on your food
bag so there would be no misunderstanding.

Honor system marks on
the white board
A full array of beer and wine
was available on the
honor system. Here you see individual names and marks.

Open air community
dining room
One could sit and chat
here, have a meal or connect on the internet which was available throughout.
There were laundry facilities available, WIFI in the rooms, hammocks everywhere
and special "chill-out rooms."

Another room to meet other guests
Massage tools were available in this room as
well as books and magazines.

Street view from hostal
The rooftop terrace gave a birds eye view of
the surrounding area.

Indoor-outdoor living
This hostal was incredibly
clean and was efficiently run. Having the laundry facilities here made it easy
to catch up from traveling a few days. Highly recommended.
